SIMPLE & QUICK:  Americans are trapped inside a democracy-to-plutocracy transitional era ushered in by their own willful ignorance and foolhardy design

Many people are not surprised that US Intelligence held a classified briefing recently showcasing tactics and entities inside the Russian Federation currently and actively using asymmetric cyber warfare measures to interfere, disrupt, and sew doubt into the 2020 General Election and its results. No doubt the mishigas is at the direction of Russian president, Vladimir Putin. After all, in 2016, Russian interference was invited by then-candidate Donald John Trump, who requested, “Russia, if you’re listening,” to “find” and release “missing” emails from Hillary Clinton, his democratic opponent.

After the 45th President of the United States was sworn in, President Donald J. Trump quickly showed his appreciation in a not-so-secret meeting with Russian dignitaries inside the Oval Office. This signal to Putin was despite an on-going counter-intelligence investigation and rapidly bourgeoning Special Council investigation into Russian-Trump election meddling. As helpful as it proved to be, this political tactic became a central ploy and tool in the Trump camp and Republican politics.

It is and has been illegal for any American citizen running for, or currently in, a position of public trust to accept bribes, material items, and, yes, including “dirt,” from foreign nationals or governments in exchange for assistance in securing an election. However, law and politics often find themselves as oil and water. In preparation for his re-election, the US President asked for more foreign assistance. Because of this, on December 18th, 2019, the Impeachment of the 45th President began, and the trial of Mr. Trump and his campaign’s abuse of power and obstruction of Congress played out between the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives. The House found fault and sent its two Articles of Impeachment to the Senate, who, with only a single Republican objecting to the President’s illegal and unAmerican behavior, did not convict, but acquitted the behavior. This forever normalizes foreign election interference.

So, many people should not be surprised to learn that the magnetism of foreign interference for personal political gain has pulled in, or more likely just Proton emailed, quite a few other American politicos. The Grand Ole Party, which once stood for Abraham Lincoln, small government, and low taxes, is now the Party of Putin and usherer of the Great American Transition to Plutocracy.

In the classified setting, US Intelligence debriefed lawmakers, outlining a network of “dirt laundering,” in which unverified information, misinformation, or kompromat is being fed from Russian intelligence, through a pro-Russian Ukrainian lawmaker, Andrii Derkach. Mr. Derkach inserts the “dirt” into the American political zeitgeist by Trump henchman, Rudolf Giuliani. The information is then “legitimized” by sworn-in legislators, alleged to be, Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and Homeland Security Chairman Ron Johnson. Both, in a letter together, deny the allegations.

Of course, this is all background noise for the 31 million Americans who are out of work. 1.4 million of whom applied for first time unemployment this past week. Most of these Americans no longer have access to healthcare benefits, if they ever had them, and only a statistically lucky few had “rainy day” funds. Unfortunately, Americans allowed themselves to be underpaid, while overproducing for employers for decades. Americans allowed for uncomfortable conversations in civics to be removed from their public education, and many Americans agreed that any truth in science depends on what their church believes. Americans re-segregated themselves, embraced an us Americans versus them Americans mentality, and found solace in the echo-chamber of social media.

And so goes the storied “live free or die” of an America that young generations do not know, let alone understand. Today, America forgets before she even inters the heroes who fought for her societal dignity. She allows for bounties to be collected on the killings of American military members overseas. The Silents, the Greats, and the Boomers, alike, are proving to disillusioned Millennials and Zs that what matters most to America, today, is intellectually cheap, despotically entertaining, and provides momentary distraction from the self-mutilation of a terminally selfish society that is willfully selling-off its once cherished freedom and prosperity to any bidder without any regard for longterm loss.
